Here’s the thing, for some time now I have been poor. Not really as poor as some, but living hand to mouth without a lot of extra. Being the spoiled person that I am, this has been a trial. So when a friend, a friend with whom I have a storied and unpleasant past, somewhat resolved, we will call him Mr. ( Y would be too obvious ) W, asked me to accompany him on a business trip to Ethiopia, I said why not. After all, how often does one get the chance of an all expenses paid vacation to anywhere? Certainly not lately for me.
We had to act fast as the itinerary was forever changing. This involved a stop on our way to Ethiopia at the Washington, D.C. watering hole, the Old Ebbitt Grill, where my dinner, with delicious salt crusted bread, invigorating mixed green salad, came to me, steamy and red.
